For our annual commemoration program, held live online, we hosted a community screening of the local short documentary An Unlikely Refuge, which shares local stories connected to Jewish refugees in Shanghai. During the program our director also interviewed Marilyn Weinblum, Jakob’s daughter-in-law, and Iris Samson, who produced Refuge and co-produced the PBS documentary Harbor from the Holocaust.
